Featured News: New Edition of The Chicago Manual of Style Now Available

Chicago Manual of Style Online

The NCAR Library is pleased to offer the newest, 16th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style Online.

New information on fair use and electronic rights as well as additional information on citing electronic sources has been included. An updated glossary includes more terms related to electronic publishing and changes to organizational formatting facilitating easier navigation. New to this edition is an introduction to Unicode; featuring identifiers and descriptions alongside special characters in areas pertaining to foreign languages and math to aid authors, editors, and publishers in the positive identification and proper implementation of these characters.

Treasures from the Archives: New Online Exhibit

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of UCAR/NCAR, the NCAR Archives has launched an online exhibit detailing the design and construction of the iconic Mesa Laboratory. Come explore the history of architect I.M. Pei's career-changing project though original documents, historic film footage, and oral histories from the Archives.

Many of these unique primary sources have been hidden away for years and have never been seen before! We invite you to view the the online exhibit.

The NCAR Library has a new subscription entitled Nature Climate Change. This journal is a new interdisciplinary monthly publication which publishes leading research on the impacts of global climate change and its implications for the economy, policy and the world. It also provides a forum for discussion among leading experts through the publication of opinion, analysis and review articles.

Some of the topics included are: Atmospheric science, Ecology, Economics, Health, Hydrology, Impacts and vulnerability, Modelling, Oceanography, Palaeoclimate, Policy and governance, Sociology, and Sustainability and development.
